Engine
Our engine is a 2019 Pierce Impel with foam and water fire-fighting capabilities. This puppy is powered by a Cummins L9 engine capable of pushing out 450 horsepower. It has been outfitted by Fairfax County to be able to provide fire-fighting capabilities as well as Basic and Advanced Life Support care to the citizens of Fairfax County if a paramedic is assigned to it. The engine is paid for and owned by the volunteers at the Lorton Volunteer Fire Department and is staffed by career county personnel. |
Rescue
The rescue at Station 19 is a 2015 Pierce Velocity walk-in rescue that is one of a few rescue units in the county that is able to respond to both technical rescue calls and hazardous materials calls. It can also provide Basic and Advanced Life Support care if a paramedic is on board. This unit is owned by Fairfax County and staffed with career county personnel. |
